Baldwin and Francis have been powering hazardous environments for nearly a century. We are known throughout the world for the quality of our electrical equipment.
In 1919 Mr W Baldwin opened an electrical engineering company in Sheffield. A chance partnership with Wilfred Francis landed him a contract to produce electrical switchgear. The devices very quickly became the ‘switch gear of choice’ for the mining community where safety and reliability were of paramount importance.
Very soon Mr Baldwin and Mr Francis went into business together and the rest, as they say, is history.
Over the century Baldwin and Francis has branched out into new industries, however our insistence on producing electric equipment that will operate safely and reliably in the most demanding of environments has never wavered.
All of the equipment we sell is manufactured to high specification. We can also offer manufacturing services for specialist designs. Over the last 20 years, we have strived to produce and stock new and innovative solutions for the industry. Examples of this include, the Victor drilling range - a range for which we have shared manufacturing rights and patents, and the mining pump range - Pumps 2000 for which we can supply.
We recognise that it is integral we take measures to protect the environment and are committed to doing so. We will take steps to comply with legislations and minimise pollution and other environmental impact of our activities. We will set targets in order to continue reducing our emissions.

Established in 2003 by Mick Gill, MG Industries Ltd began by supplying, installing and maintaining conveyor belt cleaners across a wide range of customers, specifically bulk handling and heavy industry.
MG Industries began to grow steadily, priding itself on good service and the supply of good quality products, with a view to supplying the customer within days of placing an order.
This eventually lead to MGI becoming the UK and Ireland distributor for the Belle Banne® range of belt cleaners which we now supply mainly to heavy industries, including the steel industry, quarries, power generators and recycling plants.
